Zebra Ottoman
The Burchell's zebra was sustainably harvested by Stefan Kruger* of SD Kruger Safaris at a wildlife reserve in South Africa. The sustainable harvesting of zebras provides revenue for the maintenance of the reserve and the management of biodiversity. The reserve provides jobs for local laborers. The skin was imported with permits from the US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Department of Interior.
The ottoman was constructed by Chehaw Riverworks, a master furniture builder and restorer in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
The claw feet are mahogany with solid brass casters.
Dimensions are 36.5"W x 28"D x 16.5"H.
*Stefan Kruger is the great great grandson of the famous President Paul Kruger, for whom the Kruger National Park in northeastern South Africa is named.
